Narciz Balasoiu is the director of the Centre for Conflict Prevention and Early Warning, a think tank working on security, defence and foreign policy. He holds two PhDs, in “National Security and Intelligence” from the National Defence University, and in “Economics and International Affairs” from Academy of Economic Studies. He has held several positions in the public service, such as advisor to the Minister of Defence and advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. His latest books are entitled “International Economic Relations at the Confluence of National Security” and “Prospective Studies in the Wider Black Sea Region”, both dealing with highly topical research themes.
